We have written this advisory to inform you of:

  1. Pope Francis’ visit to the United States.
  2. How this will affect any order you make on our website.

What is Catholic to the Max’s role in the papal visit?
It is important to Mark Nelson that Catholic to the Max be present as a force to encourage, support, and guide the laity toward the Church, united by the Holy Father. Catholic to the Max has always been the Pope’s company, in a way, having had its inception at World Youth Day in 2002, where the first Catholic to the Max t-shirt ever created was the famous “On a Mission” JPII shirt.

This year, Nelson Fine Art & Gifts was given the honor of becoming an official vendor for the World Meeting of Families, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C.

As you can imagine, with 2 million people estimated to attend the Pope’s visit in Philadelphia, Nelson Fine Art & Gifts has been very, very busy! For the duration of Pope’ Francis visit to the United States, our company will beprimarily functioning as a major manufacturer for commemorative papal visit memorabilia.

How does this affect my orders on Catholic to the Max?
Because of our important role in the papal visit, orders that are not papal-memorabilia cannot be guaranteed expedited shipping or any form of special treatment.

Can I still place regular orders during the papal visit?
Absolutely! Just realize that from now until sometime after the pope’s visit:

  1. Regular orders will ship with standard shipping only.
  2. The production of your order may take longer than normal, so please factor this in when making your purchase, especially if your order is a gift or for a special occasion.


Free Shipping
A minimum purchase of $75 dollars is necessary in order to qualify for Free Shipping. Free Shipping is only available inside the continental U.S.--this excludes Alaska, Hawaii, foreign U.S. Military Bases and Embassies, and all International Shipments. Please allow at least 2-4 weeks for your Free Shipping items to arrive. If you need your items less than 4 weeks from the day you place your order, we do not recommend selecting Free Shipping.

Why 2-4 weeks? Many of our USA-made products are created on-demand; instead of coming from overseas in shipping containers, they are built in our shops in Steubenville as orders come in. When you place a Free Shipping order, you are allowing us 2-4 weeks to gather enough ordered products like yours so we can do a decent production run. As manufacturing goes, the more products you can make at a time, the less time you have to spend per product. Time equals money, so when you give us more time, we save money, and can in turn pass those savings along to you in the form of free shipping!


Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.


International Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

International shipments will be shipped via United States Postal Service. International shipments cannot be insured, and Catholic to the Max is not responsible for delayed, lost, damaged or stolen items shipped internationally. All items are carefully packed within the parameters set out by the United States Postal Service and each package is hand-delivered to a United States Post Office for shipping.

Please also note that the shipping rates listed on the shipping quote page may not reflect the actual cost of international shipping. If the shipping cost exceeds the rate listed on the quote page, the customer will be contacted by Catholic to the Max with the additional shipping cost before the order is shipped.

Want to pick up your online order at our store?
Simply proceed to checkout with your shopping cart as it is. When you come to the "Shipping Method" section, select "Steubenville Pickup (980 Lincoln Ave. Steubenville, OH)" for local pickup.

*Once your order is ready for pickup, we will update its status to "Awaiting Pickup" and give you a call at the phone number you provided. From that point, you will have 3 weeks to pick up your items*

After 3 weeks, the items will be placed back in stock in our warehouse, and may not be available immediately at any time afterward. If you need more time to get your order, please call our office at 740.282.5334 and talk to us. We can tag your order with a specific pickup date if necessary.
