This reproduction of Vicente López Portaña's "Joseph's Dream" shows Saint Joseph and baby Jesus sound asleep, with an angel touching Joseph's shoulder telling him that they need to flee to Egypt. Mary is the only one awake, sitting next to Joseph, and she is thoughtfully looking up at the angel.
The artist, Vicente López Portaña (1772-1850) was a famous portrait painter from Spain in the academic neo-classicist tradition. He is known for his attention to detail and portrait paintings. By the end of his years as a court painter for the royal families of Spain, he had made portraits of almost every important personage of his time.
This image comes as a high-quality art print in wood frame with a dark finish.

This painting is absolutely magnificent, the details are so vivid and it goes beautifully in my home, I ordered the 18x24! There is a small detail that cannot be seen when you are browsing the website; however, when you receive the painting and see it for yourself it takes your breath away, it literally happened to me and made me tear up! I won't share exactly what it is so that it will be a surprise and hopefully it will have the same impression on you upon unwrapping it! I am so grateful to Catholic to the Max/Nelson Family for this beautiful painting and for delivering just in time for the Feast Day of St. Joseph.
