"The Sleep of the Virgin" shows Mary Sleeping under an apple tree with Baby Jesus on her lap, looking at the angels all crowded around them. It comes as a fine art print with a white border.
The artist, Élisabeth Sonrel (1874-1953) was a French painter and illustrator in the art nouveau movement. She is known for portraits of women with mystical, symbolic, and allegorical subjects. This was one of her early works.
