Our St. Kateri Quote Turtle T-Shirt: I Am Not My Own features an inspiring quote from Kateri Tekakwitha, the "Lily of the Mohawks"! Order for yourself, or send as a  gift today! The Turtle emblem represents the Turtle Clan into which Kateri was adopted at a young age. Help show the world Who you belong to and Who they can belong to.

Smallpox killed Kateri's whole family while she was a young girl, and she bore scars on her face for the rest of her life from this virile disease. She was baptized at the age of 20, and being persecuted by her tribe for her faith and vow of virginity, she left her village to live with Christian missionaries near Montreal. She spent the rest of her life praying and caring for the old and rick. She took ill herself in 1680 and died at the age of 24. She is the first Native American Saint to be canonized and is the patroness of the environment and ecology.

Our shirts are designed and printed by local workers in our shop in Steubenville, OH. They are 50% cotton and 50% polyester to make a durable and long lasting shirt for wear at home, school, and outdoors.
