These alabaster bookends feature Pope St. John Paul II praying the rosary and a quote of his on the devotion. Able to keep heavy books in line, they both organize and decorate your home. This pair of bookends makes the perfect personal gift for everyone with a devotion to Mary through the Rosary or to this modern Saint who loved Our Lord and Our Lady with his whole being.

The original photograph is of John Paul praying the rosary in his 1984 visit to Canada. The quote reminds us that devotion to Mary is devotion to and worship of Jesus Christ.

The bookends are made from stone-cast alabaster here in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio. Alabaster is a building and decorating material created from the mineral gypsum that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. It boasts an attractive smooth finish and will last for years to come.

Each measures roughly 6" x 8", including the 4"x 6" inset image plaque, and is 3" deep.

Text reads:

"To recite the rosary is nothing other than to contemplate with Mary the face of Christ.

~Pope Saint John Paul II~"
