[Coraggio Design - Scallop]
The scallop shell is a symbol of St. James the Great, an apostle and the patron saint of Spain. One legend claims that when St. James was denounced for his religion and executed, his body was placed in a boat to drift away at sea. The boat miraculously drifted back to the coast of Spain, his home country. Those who found the boat claimed that the hull of the boat was covered in scallop shells. Since then, scallops have been used as a symbol of pilgrimage, their imaged being used to mark paths and point pilgrims in the right direction. In the Middle Ages, pilgrims traveling to Santiago de Compostela would collect scallops as proof their journey, decorating their hats, clothes, or making simple necklaces from them, to show everyone their dedication to the pilgrimage. Show your own dedication to the cause of spreading the word of the Lord with this scallop design!

This bi-fold leather wallet belongs to our Coraggio collection, and features our Scallop design.

These wallets feature Catholic quotes and designs, and are great to carry all of your credit cards, gift cards, cash, and more! They feature one large open pocket for cash, and six smaller pocket inserts for credit cards. Both colored wallets measure 9.5" wide when opened, and stand 3.75" tall. Due to the type of leather, our cacao colored wallets are roughly 1/2" thick when folded, and our stone colored wallets are roughly 3/4" thick when folded.  Crafted from 100% soft, genuine leather, each one comes in differing shades and patterns - no two are the same. They are designed and engraved in our Steubenville, OH workshop.

Hand-crafted in Honduras, these leather card holders were created by the individuals at Lazarus Artisan Goods. Through this ministry, men and women are taught to make high quality goods while receiving sustainable wages, health-care, and an education. Their goal is to not only help their workers financially, but to teach them to find dignity and purpose in all that they do. Both we at Catholic to the Max and Mission Lazarus thank you for helping support our teams of talented individuals.

Once, as Pope St. John Paul II battled illness, a Capuchin friar stood below his window with a fist in the sky and shouted, "Coraggio! (Courage!)" Inspired by this story, we at Catholic to the Max wanted to create a product line devoted to inspiring others to have courage and spark real life conversations about Christ. With this in mind, we've created a new set of designs that are Catholic, engaging, but also a little unclear. By stirring curiosity in others, our hope is when someone asks you about your shirt, journal, bracelet, etc, you have the opportunity and courage to proclaim the message of Jesus. You can learn more about the Coraggio brand by visiting our new website: livecoraggio.com.

*Please Note: Due to the handcrafted nature of these leather items, our partnering supplier Lazarus Artisan Goods, may brand their logo variously across products. Our picture mockups show the most relevant branded variation, but may be subject to change.
