Flooding Update: Thank You All

September 18th, 2018

I'd like to express fond feelings and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has responded or reached out to our company in the past several weeks.

Truly, the hand of God was there within the business, holding at bay bad things that could have been much, much worse. There are multiple instances of this. The power source and CPU of our digital printing press--a cornerstone machine for nearly every product we create--was two inches away from dripping water that would have fried the entire device. Only the paper in the loading trays was ruined, a small loss. Our vinyl and banner printers were wet but unharmed and our cutting and folding machines need only minimal fairly inexpensive parts to get back in order.

Members of the Steubenville community and the Lincoln Avenue neighborhood have expressed outrage, sorrow, and sympathy; they consider it a crime against our city. The level of intensity of feelings people have expressed to me is akin to what was felt when a Nutcracker was stolen from the Nutcracker Village last December. People felt that was a crime against Steubenville, against all of us, and that seems to be the case here as well. One neighborhood gentleman fought back tears outside our building as he offered his help in cleaning up the mess. Yesterday, a woman came in off the street and set down $25 in cash on our front desk, refused to give her name, and said to put it toward the cleanup or to buy some employees' lunch, then she left in a hurry. Obviously $25 is small compared with the cleanup cost, but she gave what she had because she wanted to help and it was very moving to experience such a gesture of genuine love.

Finley Methodist Church, our next-door neighbor, has been very helpful in assisting our investigation and we are grateful for their cooperation. We are grateful for the continued prayers and support of the Steubenville community, our online retail customers, and our beloved family of over 800 retail store partners around the world. You all are a blessing to us and we appreciate your friendship.

At this time we have resumed 95% of our daily operations and are once again printing and shipping daily. For those of you who have had delayed orders with us because of these circumstances, we thank you for your patience

Sincerely,

Mark Nelson
