Send love, blessings, and a greeting with our Saint Martin de Porres Quote Card! Whether as a way to share the joy and wisdom of your life with a friend, as a thank you card, or for any other occasion that pops up, this card with quotes from the Saint of Charity is a perfect card to have on hand. The front includes Saint Martin's name and several quotes and titles for him in a mix of popping colors and fonts. One such title is, "The Saint of the Broom." The inside of the card is blank for you to make the card special with your own personal greeting.

St. Martin de Porres, the first black Saint in the Americas, was born in Peru in 1579 as an illegitimate child abandoned by his father. He grew up learning how to cut hair and aiding a surgeon. Since he was a mixed-race, he grew up through much ridiculing. The only place he found some acceptance was in a Dominican community doing menial tasks. He went on to become a lay member in the order of St. Dominic. At the Dominican convent, he carried on his gift of healing - even to the extent that he would put charity (in helping those who were majorly ill) over obedience! He would even "pass through" locked doors to get to the ill! St. Martin de Porres has become the patron of Mixed Race, Barbers, Public Health Workers, and Innkeepers. St. Martin, pray for us and help us to grow in charity!

This 5"x7" card comes with envelopes and is available as a single or in a bundle of 6. It adds the perfect personal touch to a Confirmation, birthday, or surprise gift!

Inside of the card is blank.
