cloister-collection-official.jpgThis icon plaque, Between Two Thieves by Ioannis Moskos, comes from the Cloister Collection, Catholic to the Max's exclusive line of wood slab icons.

The image shows Our Lord, dead upon the cross with his side pierced. The two thieves beside him have already had their legs broken and are being taken down. The skies are dark, except for the burning light surrounding our Lord; the sun and moon can be seen above the two thieves. On Our Lord's right, an angel is about to crown Dismas, the good thief, with a wreath of flowers.
